3-Star Green Building Design Identity Certificate
The LEED-CS, or the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Certification System, was initiated and set up by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) in 1993. The LEED-CS is aimed at setting up a set of generally-accepted and applicable rating standards to encourage and promote designs and development of sustainable green buildings globally. These are a set of relatively influential global rating standards for all types of buildings’ environment reviewing system, green building evaluation and sustainable building evaluation standards.
The USGBC is a non-profitable organization founded in 1993 and focusing on the development of the LEED green building rating system, while offering and developing LEED based on education and research projects as well as marketing. The USGBC conferred the LEED-CS Platinum Certification — known as the Academy Awards for green buildings — on Shanghai Tower.
